Enormous file (Answered)

Hello,
I'm hoping you can help sort me out. I recently upgraded to the latest version (0.4.1). On three separate occasions when I downloaded a story from fanfiction.net the pdf it produced was 79.5 MB...which needless to say..is huge. Is there a setting or something I am missing that would correct this? One of the stories was only 163 pages...which is rather small.

are you using the portable version?
If yes: "Please hold the line"
If no: Please update calibre to the latest version
