Archive of Our Own

About the issue with Archive of Our Own and adult stories, I think it's tied to a cookie you accept. Maybe have ffdl make or use a cookie for that site? Not that it's a high priority--AO3 has a decent download system. I just delete the afterword in Sigil and run it through Calibre to fix the paragraphing.

Too bad it'd be near impossible to add LiveJournal since not everyone on the kinkmeme posts elsewhere. At least I found a somewhat roundabout way to keep formatting when copying into Sigil. Now if I could write a macro to speed things up... OK, I'm done with the wishful thinking.

I hope I haven't pointed out something you already considered. I'd give you a copy of my AO3 cookies but damned if I know where Firefox is hiding them. Thanks for all the hard work.

Hey, thanks Rai! So far it works great.

As for AWOL adult stories, no problem, I don't read 'em.

Scratch that, mediaminer no longer works, period. Also, I'm having problems with any and all multi-chapter stories from archiveofourown.

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a while. But I was very buissy during the last weeks.

Neverless, here's the preview for the next version: http://fanfictiondownloader.net/downloa ... .php?id=20

I've added a new page (Fanfiktion.de) and changed a lot of internal things (again).
Now it's easier for me to add a new page.
The changes affect all archives!

Next thing on my todo list is the mediaminer bug reported by RedneckDrow.
Edit: I can't confirm the mediaminer bug, it'S working for me. Could you send me the storylink?

I'm still looking for someone who's able to work with regular expressions and would like to help me.

Rai

I can confirm that MediaMiner downloads are buggy. I wouldn't say they don't work entierly, but they don't work correctly, either. It seems to get exactly half of the story, rounded down.

27 chapters and I get 13, rounded down from 13.5... as in this story, for example. A 128 chapter story became exactly 64 chapters, as well. The web version exhibits the same behavior as the downloadable version. It seems to just cut off after about half the chapters, it isn't skipping them at random as far as I can tell.

Hi Reitsuki,

your problem is very easy to fix.
If you use the link like you've posted it, then you'll get 13 chapters, no storyname and several other problems.

Take a look at the "Supported archives" list on my page. (http://fanfictiondownloader.net/archives.php#mediaminer)
The first line states: "Just enter the Storylink. But do not use the link to the index page of a multichapter story!!!"

So if you use one of the chapter links, then you'll get the whole story.
Link to the first chapter: http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_c ... ubmit=View
second chapter: http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_c ... 8855#fic_c
3rd chapter: http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_c ... 8856#fic_c

and so on.....

Please tell us if it's now working.

Rai
