FanFictionDownloader.net

When downloading from ff.net, the status is wrong; complete stories show up as "in progress".

I've tried downloading several fics and all I'm getting is chapter titles. Any one else having the same problem?

Hi,

just woke up and my E-Mail inbox is flooded with mails.
Problem is already fixed, now the time consuming process of compiling it for mac and uploading 150MB with my slow internetconnection starts.
Thankfully I'll get a new Fiberoptic connection in december. Future I'm coming

Hi, I'm new to the whole fanfictiondownloader and I found I'm having the same problems on ff.net as others. However some download perfectly and the others download like the others said where you just get the chapter names at the top of each page.

As I understand this is because of the new formatting of ff.net.

My question is, do we need to download a new version of fanfictiondownloader to fix this and if so is that available to download now?

P.S. the downloader keeps telling me I have version 0.6.2 and the latest version is 0.6.3 but I don't see anywhere to download the new version.

I've been following the problem discussed in this threat and wanted to report that unfortunately 0.6.3 gives me the same problem.
stats: PC, Win Vista, UMTS connection, admin, FFD 0.6.3, tests run with activated and deactivated scriptblocker
attempted to download http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8163239/1/F ... o_Avenger#
and http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5318075/1/A_Magical_World just to test it, both in output pdf and html.
I got the story stats, summary and chapter titles, no story.
for the record, I already downloaded the first story with FFD 0.6.2 on the 04.06. and in worked, on the 06.06. it didn't, yesterday I only got chapter 2.
sounds redundant, but I wanted to have the same source for my tests.

I don't know whether it's relevant or necessarily true but I read on tumblr, that ao3 is also having problems with automated import from fanfiction.net because ff.net has somehow blocked such things. this is the source

Hi, Have downloaded 0.6.3 and tested these fics, using PC Win7 Admin rights and both downloaded fine for me.

it's also working for me.

chaoz: please open a chapter of the story in your browser, then select File->Save as and store the page as "Website, Complete" ( or whatever it's called in english).

Then send it to me by mail.

Some UMTS providers change the sourcecode to make it more efficient.
